His effects safely stowed away on his person -- including the new and entirely unexpected one -- he strolls down along the docks with one arm around Scarlett and the other around Giselle, explaining what it is they're about to see.
(It's too bad the lad had gone on back before making the ladies' acquaintance, but Jack's blithely certain there'll be time for that, now.)
"Granted," he drawls, a wicked light in the black eyes, "it tends to list to port and has been known to on occasion frighten young women."
Over Scarlett's sudden giggle, Jack continues,
"But I promise you-- you will not be disappointed."
