Christmas on the Pearl
The Captain's quarters are set. The large desk has been cleared of Jack's personal goods. The rest of the room is neat and orderly, as it tends to be (much to Gibbs' constant surprise). Whatever chairs can be found belowdecks have been dragged up by the first mate, creating a cozy feel.
The desk and the larger chests are covered with oilcloth, which serve as crude tablecloths. The ship's hodgepodge of dishes, cups and silverware, plundered from many ports and ships, sit near a selection of traditional holiday treats, from ham to mincepie. At the center of the desk, there is a crystal decanter with a gold nameplate saying "Captain Jack Sparrow", filled with red wine, surrounded by matching glasses.
And there is a small, sparsely decorated tree in a corner near the hammock.
It's Christmas on the Black Pearl. Welcome.

Re: Arrivals
Well, while being much smaller and more of the female persuasion.
But sometimes he can be almost polite, and so it is that the gangly figure in the blue jeans and black coat is likely familiar.
And tall.
And male.
And hungry.
Hopefully he is also good company.
Re: Arrivals
"You! What trouble are you going to get us into this time?"
Re: Arrivals
"Likely none, yes?"
Beat.
"Unless you are running out of food."
Re: Arrivals
"But the last time we saw you, you led the Captain into a fair hell. And all he returned with was coffin and a picture of a key. Surely you could have told him of the key without that."
Re: Arrivals
"Possibly."
That grin is apparently not going anywhere.
"But it would, I think, not have been half so entertaining."
Re: Arrivals
Re: Arrivals
"You are so fond of 'what ifs', then? I am, I think, not so surprised."
Re: Arrivals
"But what I am fond of is not my concern. The Captain has invited you, same as all the others, and I'll not let that interrupt with the celebrations."
Re: Arrivals
"I am not so fond of cages, either. So."

Re: Arrivals
"I am, I think, always hungry, so."
It is not apologetic in the least.
Re: Arrivals
"It'd ruin the party to have one of the guests waste away, and then we'd all be sad"
Re: Arrivals
"Mostly it takes longer than a day, I think. But I am grateful, nonetheless."
Re: Arrivals
Re: Arrivals
He wrinkles his nose, still laughing, and inhales the majority of the contents of the plate.
Re: Arrivals
"Though, if you manage to choke we'll be equally sad" she noted, watching him eat with something close to worried fascination.
Re: Arrivals
"I have, I think, had a great deal of practice. Also the lack of biology is helpful."

"Hello, mate."
Re: Arrivals
"It is, perhaps, part of the suspense, yes?"
Then he turns around in truth, grinning.
"You are, I hope, not so disappointed at the lack of breasts?"
Re: Arrivals
"No more than the lack of feathers, savvy? You're an interesting sort, however it is that you're looking."
Re: Arrivals
"Some people are for having fetishes, yes. It is not so bad a thing."
He might, it is wise to note, also be trying very hard not to laugh.
"And I am tricky. Likely it is part of my charm."
Re: Arrivals
He shakes his head, setting coins and reindeer bone to clattering, and grins at Raven as one hand dives into his pocket.
"Tricky's something else again."
Re: Arrivals
Raven wrinkles his nose.
"Being ridden, I think, is too much like a cage. Also sitting still is boring."
His shoulders twitch, and he follows the Jack's movement of hand to pocket.
"Sometimes tricky is several somethings, yes? It is better, so."
Re: Arrivals
"I'm not especially inclined to disagree with you about that, mate. No fun at all to sit still for too long."
Jack catches the sharp-eyed glance, and leaves his hand in his pocket as he offers a wickedly innocent grin back to Raven.
"Something the matter?"
Re: Arrivals
"I am not certain, yet."
He blinks at Jack, not quite batting his eyelashes.
"You, perhaps, are very tricky, too."
